Contributions to UN High-level Advisory Body on AI

Prof. Andreas Krause from the ETH Department of Computer Science contributed to the ‘Governing AI for Humanity’ report. 

In August 2023, the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology announced the formation of a High-Level Advisory Body on AI and launched an open call for experts. It received over 1’800 nominees from 128 countries. Along with 38 other members, Prof. Andreas Krause, Professor for Computer Science at ETH Zurich, was chosen. He participated in several in-person and virtual meetings, contributing to the interim report. ‘Governing AI for Humanity’ was released for consultation in December 2023. A final report is yet to be published.
